About
About the University
An international campus of the University of Novi Sad, founded in 2015 for international students together with the partner universities of the Danube Rectors’ Conference.
Identity
Who we are
Nahda University for Science and Technology is an international campus of the University of Novi Sad, opened in 2015 and dedicated entirely to students from outside the Republic of Serbia. It was founded in academic and institutional cooperation with partner universities of the Danube Rectors’ Conference, which contribute joint curricula, visiting professors and a shared clinical and industrial training network.
The university carries the academic authority of the University of Novi Sad — a public institution founded in 1960, among the largest in South-East Europe — while operating its own faculties, its own English-language study programmes and its own student services designed around the needs of international students who arrive in Serbia for the first time.
All seven faculties teach in English, follow the Bologna process and award degrees expressed in ECTS credits with a Diploma Supplement, so that qualifications are read and recognised throughout the European Higher Education Area.
Mission
To provide internationally recognised, English-language higher education of European standard to students from every continent, and to conduct research that serves the host community in Serbia and the partner communities of the Danube region.
Vision
To become the reference destination in South-East Europe for international students seeking a European degree in science, health and technology, delivered in English at a cost that keeps quality education within reach.
Values
- Academic integrity and transparency of every procedure.
- Equality of access regardless of nationality, gender or belief.
- Care for students who study far from home.
- Responsibility towards the host city and country.
- Cooperation across cultures as a condition of good science.
Our origin
A campus of Novi Sad, founded with the Danube Rectors’ Conference
The University of Novi Sad — a public university of the Republic of Serbia founded in 1960 and one of the largest in South-East Europe — established this campus so that students from outside Serbia could study its scientific and health-sciences disciplines entirely in English.
The partner universities of the Danube Rectors’ Conference joined as cooperating founders. They contribute curricula developed in their own faculties of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, visiting professors each semester, elective clinical rotations in partner hospitals across the region, and the endowment that funds the Danube Excellence Scholarship.
The faculties were founded one after another as the campus grew: Science in 2015, Engineering in 2016, Education in 2017, Pharmacy in 2018, Medicine in 2019, Dentistry in 2020 and Veterinary Medicine in 2021.
